KENERSYS is a specialist for onshore multi-megawatt turbines especially developed for low and medium wind speed sites, a market segment that will drive the future growth in the relevant wind markets all over the world.
The KENERSYS Headquarters and GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY CENTER are based in Muenster (Germany). KENERSYS has two full-scale production facilities in Wismar (Germany) and Baramati (India) with a total annual capacity of 950 MW.
The company was originally established in 2003 as a design and consulting company for leading wind turbine and component manufacturers.
Since 2007 KENERSYS is a full-scale turbine manufacturer, with more than 400 years of expert knowledge at the KENERSYS GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY CENTER in Germany. This unique technical competence gives the company a reliable technology base for expanding its position in the wind turbine market.
KENERSYS has a strong management with longstanding history in providing wind turbine solutions, leveraging the strength of its shareholders – the global manufacturing and supply chain expertise of the Kalyani Group as well as the experience and knowledge across the energy value chain of First Reserve Corporation.

KENERSYS concentrates on multi-megawatt onshore turbines.
Worldwide, there is a clear trend towards multi-megawatt turbines maximising the full-load hours and the Annual Energy Yield, especially at medium and low wind speed sites. KENERSYS caters this trend with its state-of-the-art turbine family:
The four platforms K120 2.3MW, K110 2.4MW, K100 2.5MW and K82 2.0MW are pitch regulated, variable speed, full conversion turbines with a synchronous generator. They are designed to suit wind regimes according to IEC Type Class IIa and IIIa respectively.
With the expertise of approx. 400 years experience in wind turbine design the KENERSYS engineers have advanced the 10.000 times proven technology of a distributed drive train to the KENERSYS cutting edge technology — SYNERDRIVE TECHNOLOGYTM.
SYNERDRIVE TECHNOLOGY is the KENERSYS evolutionary and synergetic drive train technology that combines the advantages of a robust mechanical drive train concept with a unique electrical architecture to easily fulfil all modern grid requirements and harsh grid and climate conditions.
